Dr. Dana Lee Olstad, PhD, RDDr. Dana Olstad is an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the University of Calgary, and holds Adjunct academic appointments in the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary and in the School of Public Health at the University of Alberta. Dr. David JT Campbell, PhD, MDDr. David Campbell is an Internal Medicine specialist with subspecialty training in Endocrinology & Metabolism and advanced research training in Health Services Research. He holds a BSc in Kinesiology from McGill University, an MSc(R) in Anthropology of Health and Illness from the University of Edinburgh, as well as MD and PhD in Community Health Sciences (HSR) from the University of Calgary. He completed his post-doctoral research training at the MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto.

Dr. Reed Beall, PhDReed F. Beall is a population health researcher who works largely with medicine patent, regulatory, and utilization data to investigate the long-term impacts of national and international policy decisions which aim to balance incentives between equitable drug innovation and equitable drug access. He is an Assistant Professor in Healthcare Policy in the Department of Community Health Sciences within the Cumming School of Medicine and at the O’Brien Institute for Public Health at the University of Calgary.

Dr. Eldon Spackman, PhDEldon is an Associate Professor with expertise in Health Economics. He has an interest in methods for sustainable health care and is particularly interested in assessing the value and opportunity costs of health care technologies and interventions. Eldon holds a BA and MA in Economics from the University of Calgary and a PhD from the University of Washington. Eldon’s research focuses on evidence uncertainty in decision making and understanding the health consequences of diverting funding to new health investments.

Dr. Lorraine L Lipscombe, MD, MScDr. Lorraine Lipscombe is leading a successful research program focused on the prevention, care and outcomes for patients with diabetes, particularly for women. Dr. Lipscombe was recently appointed as the inaugural Director for University of Toronto’s Novo Nordisk Network for Healthy Populations, which is a cross-disciplinary research network based at the University of Toronto Mississauga campus. This new network will unite academics with community stakeholders in Peel Region to address the burden of diabetes and other chronic diseases through community-based research.
