What's the FoodRx program looking to do?
The aim of this program is to support adults with type 2 diabetes who are experiencing food insecurity.

A Weekly Healthy Food Incentive
You get a one time healthy food prescription and a weekly healthy food incentive for 3 months

Why are we doing this?
The cost of food is HIGH

This is especially true for healthy foods, like fruits and vegetables. With the increasing cost of living, more and more people in Canada are experiencing food insecurity.
Food insecurity is not having enough money to afford the foods you need or like. Food insecurity is also worrying about not being able to afford the foods you need or like.

​Food insecurity is a pretty serious issue in Canada and affects a lot of people – the latest numbers say over 4 million Canadians are food insecure right now.
