Meet the FoodRx Implementation team

Teagan Mauthe

Role: FoodRx Program Coordinator

Background: Teagan joined the team as a full-time research assistant after graduating from the University of Calgary Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) program and now works as the program coordinator!

Sara Scott, RN, MN

Role: FoodRx Program Research Nurse

Background: Sara has been a registered nurse for 19 years and is passionate about supporting people to live their best life through health. Sara co-facilitates the Indigenous Advisory Board, All My Relations - Niiksokowaaks - Wahkohmakanahk, supports Indigenous clinics that have partnered with the Food Rx project, and gets to meet many participants when she calls to chat through the Food Rx.

Fun fact: When I am not at work, my husband and I are busy raising and hanging out with our 3 kids and dog!

Carolyn Dunbar

Role: FoodRx Program Research Assistant

​Background: Carolyn has a BSc in Biochemistry and recently graduated with a MSc, focusing on Nutritional Science. With previous experience assisting with a nutrition and health related research project, she is excited to be a part of the FoodRX team

Fun Fact: I enjoy experimenting with food, and am always willing to try out new recipes

Hayley Cornett

Role: FoodRx Program Research Assistant

​Background: Hayley has been part of the FoodRx team since it first launched in March 2021. She recently graduated from the University of Calgary with an Honours BSc in Biological Sciences and is currently pursing a MSc in Precision Health.

Hailey Allen

Role: FoodRx Program Research Assistant

Background: Hailey has recently graduated with her Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) degree at the University of Calgary, with a focus in Bioinformatics. She is passionate about equitable and accessible healthcare, so she is excited to be one of the newest editions to the team!

Fun fact: In my free time, you can find Hailey climbing, hiking, hammocking, or generally enjoying the outdoors!
