Meet the FoodRx Implementation team

Terry Saunders-Smith

Role: FoodRx Program Coordinator

Background: Terry has years of experience coordinating health research projects across Canada, including the ACCESS project at the University of Calgary, which enrolled 5000 participants.

Sara Scott, RN, MN

Role: FoodRx Program Research Nurse

Background: Sara has been a registered nurse for 19 years and is passionate about supporting people to live their best life through health. Sara co-facilitates the Indigenous Advisory Board, All My Relations - Niiksokowaaks - Wahkohmakanahk, supports Indigenous clinics that have partnered with the Food Rx project, and gets to meet many participants when she calls to chat through the Food Rx.

Fun fact: When I am not at work, my husband and I are busy raising and hanging out with our 3 kids and dog!

Jenna Ganske

Role: FoodRx Program Research Assistant

​Background: After completing a summer student project with the All My Relations board and graduating with a BHSc at the University of Lethbridge, Jenna joined the FoodRx program as a full time research assistant.

Hayley Cornett

Role: FoodRx Program Research Assistant

​Background: Hayley has been part of the FoodRx team since it first launched in March 2021. She recently graduated from the University of Calgary with an Honours BSc in Biological Sciences and is currently pursing a MSc in Precision Health.

Teagan Mauthe

Role: FoodRx Program Research Assistant

Background: Teagan joined the team as a full-time research assistant after graduating from the University of Calgary Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) program. She now works just down the hall from where she graduated!
